Enamelled gold scarab shaped watch

A very fine and rare Swiss 18 carat gold, enamel and diamond set keyless lever scarab form pendant watch made by Vacheron & Constantin, circa 1910. The circular gilt finished jewelled lever movement with a glazed cuvette. Small white enamel dial with black Arabic hour numerals, a red 12, outer minute dots and spade hands. The scarab shaped case with finely engraved foliage decorated sides, a realistically modelled reverse, black enamel details, diamond set and engine turned translucent scarlet enamel wings, opening to reveal the dial surrounded by chased and engraved floral decoration, a chased, black and translucent scarlet enamel decorated head, ruby set eyes and curved gold antennas. Case numbered, movement signed.
