A fine French gold open faced quarter repeating pocket watch, sold to monsieur de Labensky on 14 November 1843 for 1260 francs. Gilt movement, ruby cylinder escapement, three arm balance, parachute suspension, bimetallic compensation curb, quarter repeating on two polished steel gongs. Signed and numbered gold cuvette. White enamel dial, Breguet numerals, secret signature and numbered below 12, fine gold hands. Engine turned case back and band, pull and twist piston in the stem. Case, dial and cuvette signed. With key. Accompanied by the original certificate, a hand written letter from the descendant of the original owner, a numbered presentation case with spare glass.
