An American gold pocket watch by Waltham, circa 1870. 15 Jewel movement, gilt full plate, jewels in settings, rack and pinion regulator, stem wind, button set. White enamel dail, signed ‘American Watch Co’, Roman chapters, subsidiary seconds and blued fleur de lis hands. 18 Carat engine turned full hunter case, signed ‘A.W. Co.’, with monogram on circular reserve. The case retains its original manufacturer’s trade label.
