A rare French verge in an unusual repousse case, circa 1770. Full plate gilt fusee movement. Finely pierced and engraved bridge cock with steel coqueret, plain three-arm gilt balance with blue steel spiral hairspring. Silver regulator dial with gilt indicator. Winding through the signed white enamel dial, black Roman and Arabic numerals, decorative set hands. Gold repousse case, gold pendant and bow, on the back depicting a woman resting with her flower basket on the ground and hat next to her.
