A rare Swiss 18 carat yellow gold hunting cased quarter repeating pocket watch with automaton, circa 1890. This watch features a hinged, round, chased and engraved case including a numbered cuvette marked with the technical details. It has a white enamel dial with Roman hour numerals, an outer minute track, a central automaton depicting a lumberjack, subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock and blued spade hands. The mechanical ¾ plate movement is wound through the crown and has a lever escapement.
