Almost like new gold anker chronometer
–
An interesting almost like new gold full hunter cased anker chronometer watch in the original sales box, made by Bernhard Friedrich Altschwager in St. Petersburg, Russia, circa 1906. This watch features a numbered full hunter case crafted from 14 carat gold, engine turned decoration on both lids and a cuvette which is numbered and inscribed Ancre Droit, 15 rubis and Spiral Breguet. The white enamel dial features black Arabic 5 minute numerals, black Roman hour numerals, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock and gold hands. The numbered movement features an anker chronometer escapement with a particularly large chronometer balance and a special lever.
The case and movement have matching numbers and the dial, cuvette and box are signed.
