A Swiss 18 carat gold hunting cased minute repeating Grande Sonnerie carillon clock watch made for the South American market, circa 1896. Highly jeweled, nickel lever movement, bimetallic compensation balance, two train movement wound alternately, striking on three hammers, button repeat. Glazed and gold cuvettes, the latter engraved with details of the movement. White enamel dial, Arabic numerals, subsidiary seconds and the rim fitted with a lever for strike choice engraved Silencio/Repeticion. The case finely engraved with tied foliate swags and leafage against an engine turned ground. The dial, cuvette and case signed.
