Gold 18K minute repeating full hunter automaton Circa 1910

An 18 carat gold hunting cased minute repeating automaton watch for the South American market, circa 1910. Gilt lever movement, bimetallic compensation balance, slide repeat. Gold cuvette engraved with details of the movement. Gold chapter ring, champlevé black enamel Roman numerals, inner ring calibrated with the name ‘Maximino Arias’ in red enamel, centered by vari color figures of blacksmiths striking their hammers on the anvil in unison with the repeat work against a ground of translucent green enamel over wavy engine turning. The case lavishly engraved with undulating flowers and leafage.
