A Swiss gold, enamel and diamond set beetle pendant watch, circa 1890. Gilt cylinder movement. Glazed cuvette. White enamel dial, Roman numerals and outer minute divisions. Gold beetle form case, hinged wings with translucent red enamel over an engine turned background highlighted with diamonds, chased and engraved head with ruby set eyes, reverse realistically chased and engraved.
