An English gilt metal and paste set double dial centre seconds calendar watch with ages of the moon made for the Chinese market, circa 1780. Gilt brass verge movement. White enamel dials to both sides of the case. Front dial: Roman and Arabic numerals, subsidiary dials indicating time, minutes and date, centre seconds. Reverse dial: Roman and Arabic numerals, inner track indicating the ages of the moon. Gilt metal case, both bezel with alternating red and white paste stones. Dial signed.
