A fine and rare Swiss 18 carat gold open faced minute repeating split seconds chronograph pocket watch, circa 1918. Retailed by Black Starr & Frost. 17.5”’ Nickel lever movement, 34 jewels, bimetallic balance, repeating on two gongs. White enamel dial, painted Breguet numerals, subsidiary dial for the 30 minute register and constant seconds, oxidized spade hands. Plain case, minute repeating slide to the band, hidden hinge. Gold cuvette with inscription. Case and movement signed by maker, dial signed by retailer.
