Gold repeating skeletonized pocket watch by Chicot
–
An unusual small French Lépine with a view to the striking mechanism, circa 1830. This watch boasts an 18K gold case with an engine-turned finish. The case has a gold punch mark dating it between 1819 and 1838. Chicot à Macon signs the dome and movement. The watch features a verge escapement and can repeat the hours and quarters. The face showcases the striking mechanism, with an enamel ring displaying Roman radial hours and an outer minute track. It also has Breguet steel hands and is in excellent working condition. The watch is very rare and has a unique size.
