A rare double sided gold watch probably made for the Ottoman market in Switzerland, circa 1870. The case of this watch is crafted from 14 Carat gold. The dial on the front has Arabic five minute- and Roman hour numerals, the one on the back has Ottoman hour numerals and a subsidiary seconds dial at sic o’clock and both dials have steel hands. The movement has a Swiss lever escapement.
