A fine Swiss, 18K gold, quarter repeating pocket watch with a long chain, circa 1880. Retailed by Viner & Co., London. An engine-turned pattern on the case, gold dial also engine turned with applied Roman numerals. Gold Breguet hands. A gilt brass movement, going barrel, four jewels, cylinder escapement, plain brass three-arm balance, flat balance spring, repeating on gongs activated by depressing the bow. Movement signed.
