A fine Swiss, 18K gold, hunting cased, keyless, quarter repeating pocket watch with concealed erotic automaton, circa 1890. Made for the Hispanic market. An engine-turned and polished case, the front cover with engraved monogram, the back cover concealing the silver and gilt erotic automaton scene depicting a gentleman and a lady in an interior with a peeping face appearing at the window. Silver dial with painted radial Roman numerals, outer dot minute divisions, subsidiary seconds, applied gold foliate centre and border. Blued steel Breguet hands. A rhodium-plated movement, 19 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator, repeating on gongs by activating slide on the band.
