A very fine Swiss 14 carat gold open faced keyless Art Deco pocket watch made by the International Watch Company in Schaffhausen in the 1920s. The frosted gilt movement with 16 jewels, a straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance and blued steel Breguet balance spring. Ivory coloured dial with applied gold Arabic hour numerals, outer dot minute divisions, sunk subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock and original gold hands. The reeded case band decorated with sets of three balls and batons, a hinged back decorated with vertical alternating stripes and a further hinged gold cuvette. Dial signed, case and movement signed and numbered. Accompanied by a 22 cm long gold chain.
