A fine Swiss 14 carat yellow gold full hunter pocket watch made by Alpina, circa 1920. It has a mechanical crown winding movement (calibre Alpina 338) with a lever escapement and a stainless steel movement plate signed Alpina. The cream coloured dial shows black Arabic numerals for the hours, an outer minute track, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock, and gold hands. The dial is signed Alpina. It is housed in a round 14 carat solid yellow gold full hunter case with two gold covers, stamped with Swiss 585 gold assay marks (squirrel) and the German crown and sun hallmark. The inner cuvette bears a commemorative inscription: unserm lb. Bruder zum 25 jährigen Priesterjubiläum. It comes with a gold plated (doublé) watch chain (26 cm) and the original fitted Alpina presentation box (Erzeugnis der Alpina Gruen Uhren Fabriken).
