A rare anker chronometer with calendar watch, made by Vacheron & Constantin in Genève, Switzerland, circa 1870. The full hunter case of this watch was crafted from 18 carat gold and has a monogram on the back lid. The white enamel dial has Arabic five minute numerals, Roman hour numerals, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock, dials showing date and day of the week at 10 and 2 o’clock respectively and blued steel hands. The movement features a very fine anker chronometer escapement, a chronometer balance, wolf’s toothing and a special lever.

The cuvette is signed.
