Gold museum quality gentlemen’s watch

A magnificent, early hunting cased pocket watch made by Vacheron in Geneva, Switzerland, circa 1830. The high quality engine turned case of this watch was made from 18 carat gold and boasts a curved band with a spring lid mechanism, both the bow and case are adorned with rocailles and the front lid showcases intricate designs of various musical instruments, while the back is embellished with delicate floral motifs. The silvered dial has Roman hour numerals, outer minute divisions, a decoratively engraved center and gold hands. The flat key wound Lépine movement is fitted with a cylinder escapement. The cuvette is signed.
