A very finest quality gold pocket watch with quarter repeater, made by Louis Audemars in Brassus et Genève, Switzerland, circa 1870. The open faced à goutte case of this watch is crafted from 18 carat gold and has a monogram on the back lid. The white enamel dial has a five minute outer scale, Roman hour numerals, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock and gold hands. The movement has a very fine precision lever escapement, special winding wheels and a quarter repeater.
The cuvette is signed.
