A very fine Swiss, 18 carat gold keyless pocket watch, circa 1908. Split Seconds Chronograph by Patek, Philippe & Cie, Genève. Activated by the single round push piece located on the winding crown, the safety bolt locks the chronograph’s functions (slide at 11 o’clock). Split seconds (activated by the rectangular push piece located on the case band at 10:30). White enamel dial with painted Breguet numerals, outer minute and 1/5 seconds divisions with red Arabic 5-minute/seconds numerals, subsidiary seconds and gold decorative hands. A rhodium plated movement with going barrel, straight line calibrated lever escapement, compensated balance and blued steel hairspring with terminal curve, index regulator with swan-neck spring and micrometric screw, and blued steel Breguet balance spring. Dial, case and movement signed.
