Pocket watch with split seconds chronograph

A very heavy gold full hunter cased watch with split seconds chronograph, made by Henry Jacot in le Locle, Switzerland, circa 1880. The numbered case of this watch was crafted from 18 carat gold and is engine turned on both sides. The original enamel dial has Roman hour numerals, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock and filigree steel hands. The numbered and glazed movement is fitted with a very fine anker chronometer escapement, a chronometer balance and screwed gold chatons.
The dial and movement are signed.
