A French 18K yellow gold keyless pocket watch with six complications, circa 1900.
A hunting cased watch with a perpetual calendar, moon phase, and quarter repeating.
A polished case, the hinged and sprung front cover engraved with a monogram JFW and hinged gold cuvette with engraved presentation inscription.

White enamel dial with narrow radial Roman numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary dials for the days of the week, the months with leap-year indication, the date and the seconds, aperture for the moon phase with a lunar calendar on the periphery and blued steel spade hands. A frosted gilt movement, 21 jewels, counterpoised straight line calibrated lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance with temperature and meantime adjustment screws, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator, repeating on gongs activated by a slide on the band. Signed by the maker on the dial plate.
