A rare Swiss 18 carat gold keyless pocket watch with a one minute tourbillion regulator, circa 1870. An engine turned case with polished borders, a reeded band, and the interior of the front cover with engraved dedication. Glazed gold rimmed cuvette to view the movement. White enamel dial with narrow radial Roman numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds and blued steel Breguet hands. Nickel plated movement, Geneva striping decoration, jewelled to the center, wolf’s tooth winding, one-minute tourbillion with a polished steel cage, lateral lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator. Dial and movement signed, case numbered.
