Gold open faced verge pair-cased pocket watch

A fine and rare English, 22K gold, agate-mounted pair cased pocket watch, circa 1750. Outer case: chased repousse rococo gold, back and bezel set with panels of translucent striated agate over foiled metal. Inner case: bassine, polished, shuttered winding aperture. White enamel dial with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track and outermost Arabic five minute numerals. Blued steel Beetle and Poker hands. A hinged, frosted gilt full-plate movement with square baluster pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement, brass balance with flat balance spring, pierced and engraved single-footed cock, silver regulation dial. Movement signed.
