A very fine and rare Swiss, 18K gold and ramolayé enamel keyless pendant watch, circa 1896. Made for Bigelow Kennard & Co. The bezel and band are decorated with aquamarine translucent enamel with gold leaf scrolls, the back cover is decorated to match and with foliate scrolls. Dedicated hinged gold cuvette. Opalescent, sunray dial guilloché enamel with radial black dauphine numerals, outer gilt dot minute markers. Gold Louis XV hands. A rhodium plated movement, Geneva striping decoration, 15 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel fl at balance spring, index regulator. Case with V & C symbol, movement signed for the retailer, case and movement with V & C numbers.
