A very fine Swiss, 18K gold hunting cased keyless pocket watch with keyless cover winding, circa 1880. The case with engine-turned covers, polished band, gold hinged cuvette. White enamel dial, Arabic numerals, outer minute gold paillon dot divisions with five-minute blue Arabic markers, subsidiary sunk seconds. Blued steel spade hands.
A rhodium-plated movement, Geneva striping decoration, 18 jewels, straight-line counterpoised lever escapement, cut-bimetallic compensation balance with Breguet balance spring, patented winding mechanism by closing the cover. Signed on dial and movement, same number on the case and movement.
