A flat, high-quality Swiss pocket watch from Geneva with a minute repeater, circa 1890. This watch features a polished plain case made of 18K gold. The dial is gold-plated and has an engine-turned centre, Arabic numerals, an outer minutes track, a subsidiary dial for the seconds, and Breguet-style hands. The movement is a bridge type with two hammers and two gongs, a lever escapement, and a screw compensation balance. It comes with the original box from the jeweller Türler in Zurich.

M.A. Plojoux was a renowned watchmaker based in Geneva, known for his exceptional timepieces featuring intricate complications and fine jewellery. His workshop was situated at 30 Rue du Rhône. Plojoux’s exceptional work was recognized with two awards at the 1878 Universal Exposition held in Paris. He also received a gold medal in 1880 and participated in the 1896 Swiss National Exhibition held in Geneva. The movement of this watch is a testament to the reputation of the company and impresses with its exceptional quality.
