Yellow gold lever watch

A small Swiss 18 carat gold open faced keyless lever pocket watch, made by Patek Philippe & Co in Geneva, circa 1910-1915. Retailed by Charles Grottendieck, Brussels. The watch has a hand wound mechanical movement with a moustache lever escapement and compensated bimetallic balance. Its white enamel dial shows painted Breguet numerals, a chemin de fer minute track, small seconds at 6 o’clock, and gold pear shaped hands. The case has a smooth back and a yellow gold cuvette engraved with the retailer’s name, Charles Grottendieck, Brussels. All components are signed: dial, case, cuvette, and movement.
