A very fine and rare Swiss, keyless, minute repeating 18K rose gold pocket watch, circa 1888. With split-seconds chronograph. Accompanied by the Extract from the Archives. Patek, Philippe & Cie, Genève, retailed and cased by Tiffany & Co., New York. Made in 1888, sold on July 17, 1889. A solid, polished case, rectangular pusher on the band for the split-seconds function, locking bolt at 11 o’clock, concealed hinges. Hinged gold cuvette with dedication.

White enamel dial with painted Breguet numerals, outer minute and 1/5 seconds divisions with red Arabic 5-minute/seconds numerals. Blued steel spade hands.  Maillechort movement, Geneva striping decoration, 23 jewels, straight-line counterpoised lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator, repeating activated by a slide on the band. Dial, case and movement signed.
