A fine Swiss, 18K yellow gold, keyless, hunting cased pocket watch, circa 1875.
Retailed by M. de Arregui, Madrid. Made for the Spanish market. An engine-turned case with polished borders, reeded band. Hinged gold cuvette. White enamel dial with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track and five-minute Arabic numerals, subsidiary seconds. Blued steel spade hands. A matte gilt movement, 17 jewels, wolf’s tooth winding, straight-line lever escapement à moustache, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator. Case, cuvette and movement signed, dial signed by the retailer.
