Gold open faced lever pendant watch

A very fine and rare swiss, 18K yellow gold pendant watch with green enamel and diamonds, circa 1897. Made for The Duhme & Co., Cincinnati, circa 1897. Presented to Nettie Goodall from Cincinnati, Ohio for Christmas 1898. A solid, bassine, hinged bezel, back and cuvette, bezel decorated with an engraved foliate pattern on a green enamel background, back decorated with green enamel and foliate pattern centred by a diamond-set lyre.

White enamel dial with radial green Arabic numerals, outer minute track and gilt Arabic five-minute numerals. Gold Louis XV hands. A rhodium-plated movement, Geneva striping decoration, 18 jewels, wolf’s tooth winding, straight-line moustache lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator. Dial, case and movement signed.
