A Swiss 18 carat yellow gold open faced pocket watch, retailed by Tiffany & Co.in Geneva, circa 1880. This watch features a hand wound mechanical movement, signed and engraved on the baseplate, Tiffany & Co à Genève.The white enamel dial displays black Roman numerals for the hours, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock, and apple shaped hands in blued steel. The round 18 carat yellow gold case features a smooth polished bezel. The watch is fitted with a double cuvette, the inner shell revealing the movement through a glass panel, allowing the movement to be admired without opening the case. The movement is signed, and the baseplate is engraved and numbered.
