A Swiss 18 carat yellow gold open faced pocket watch, circa 1880-1900. This watch features a hand wound keyless mechanical movement with a lever escapement. The movement is neatly finished with polished and bevelled bridges, and is numbered on the plates. The white enamel dial displays Roman numerals for the hours, a painted outer minute track with Arabic numerals at five minute intervals, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock, and elegant filigree hands. The round 18 carat yellow gold case features a smooth polished bezel and a smooth case back. The watch is fitted with an 18 carat yellow gold double cuvette, also smooth and polished. The case and cuvette are both numbered.
