A fine Swiss 18 carat yellow gold open faced pocket watch, circa 1900. It has a mechanical crown winding movement with a lever escapement and a bimetallic compensation balance. The white enamel dial shows black Roman numerals for the hours, an outer minute track with Arabic five minute numerals (5 to 60), a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock, and ornate gold Louis XV style hands. The watch is housed in a round 18 carat solid yellow gold open faced case with a plain polished reverse back cover. It also features a fluted winding crown with a pin set hand adjuster at 11 o’clock, a suspension bow, and an inner protective cuvette.
