A fine Swiss 18 carat yellow gold open faced pocket watch made by Vacheron Constantin SA in Geneva, circa 1907. It has a mechanical crown winding movement with a lever escapement and a compensation balance, signed Vacheron Constantin. The white enamel dial shows black Arabic numerals for the hours, an outer railway minute track with red Arabic five minute numerals, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock, and sleek gold pear shaped hands. The timepiece is housed in a smooth, polished, round three body, 18 carat solid yellow gold open faced lepine case featuring an engraved monogram on the back cover, an inner perlage decorated surface, a fluted winding crown, and a sturdy round suspension bow.
