Platinum lever pocket watch
–
An exquisite Swiss ultra flat platinum open faced Art Deco pocket watch made by Audemars Piguet in Geneva, circa 1935. The case bears a gift dedication from 1936, adding a touch of sentimentality to its history, and the back is monogrammed SD.  The watch features an original silver Breguet dial that has stood the test of time with applied Arabic hour numerals, outer dot minute divisions and the original kite/diamond hands complement its classic design. Underneath the dial lies a movement of exceptional quality. The precision lever escapement is of ultra flat caliber, and the golden wheels and Geneva striping decoration further exemplify the meticulous craftsmanship that went into creating this timepiece. With 19 jewels and regulation in eight positions, this movement ensures accurate timekeeping and reliability. The case and movement bear matching numbers and the case is signed.
