A very fine and heavy, Swiss astronomical minute repeating hunting cased pocket watch with chronograph, perpetual calendar, and moon phase, circa 1890.
Decorated rhodium plated bridge movement, signed Le Coultre & Cie., with mirror polished chronograph steel parts, ratchet wheel, two hammers / two gongs, screwed gold chaton, wolf teeth winding wheels, gold screw compensation balance, and index spring fine adjusting device. Enamel dial with radial Roman hours, auxiliary seconds, moon phase and moon age, three subsidiary dials for indications of the weekday, the date and months under consideration of the leap year, four levers for fast setting of the calendar, and gold spade hands. 18 Carat rose gold, polished, à goutte (water drop shape) case with a signed gold dome, pusher for chronograph at 12 o’clock, and glazed movement.
