Chronometer tested by the Neuchâtel Observatory

An exquisite marine chronometer, which was tested at the Neuchâtel Observatory and made by Paul Ditisheim in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, circa 1908. The case of this watch was crafted from brass and is gimbal suspended in the original mahogany box. The numbered dial has Roman hour numerals, an outer minute track, subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock, a power reserve indicator at 12, gold hands and is marked Grand Prix Paris 1900. The numbered movement is fitted with a chronometer escapement, an overcoil balance spring, a bimetallic Guillaume balance and swan neck micrometer regulator.
The box, dial and movement have matching numbers, and the dial and movement are signed.
