A rare Swiss olive green coloured white metal British Royal Air Force nurses’ pendant watch, circa 1946. Bridge movement. Silvered dial with Arabic hours, outer minute divisions and sunk subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock. A case in the form of a British army helmet, the back applied with the Insignia of the Allies showing the Cross of Lorraine, the symbol of free France during World War II and a V for Victory, also present are the flags of Great Britain, The United States of America and France shown in a colourful setting. The brooch that comes with the watch is attached with a leather rope and bears the logo of the Royal Air Force (RAF). Dial signed Vivela Swiss made, movement inscribed Swiss made, the back of the brooch signed Paul Kramer Breveté.
