Gold hunting cased Cronometro pocket watch by Girard-Perregaux

A decorative Swiss pocket chronometer with pivoted detent escapement, circa 1870. The watch showcases an 18 carat gold engine-turned à goutte case with a reeded band, a costly engraved gold dome, and a case maker’s punch mark FN. Its silvered dial is florally engraved, and features applied floral ornaments, radial Roman hours, auxiliary seconds, and blued tulip hands. The watch has a 3/4 plate movement that is keywind, nickel-plated, decorated and has a chain/fusee. It also has screwed gold chatons, a bimetallic chronometer balance with two screws and two weights, a blued spherical balance spring, and a diamond endstone on the balance.
