A very fine Patek Philippe gold chronometer with split seconds chronograph, circa 1883.
18 carat pink gold, “à goutte”, case with monogram on back and signed Patek Philippe and Bailey, Banks & Biddle. Ankerchronometer with very big balance with gold screws and special micrometer fine adjusting device. Rare and extravagant design of the split seconds chronograph with very fine angled levers. Matching numbers on case and movement. Signed white enamel dial with Roman hours, Arabic minutes on the outer track, sunk subsidiary dial with constant Arabic seconds and blued steel hands.
