A rare Swiss deck watch with split seconds chronograph, circa 1890. Manufactured for the Russian market.
14 carat gold case with signed gold dome and pusher for chronograph at “2”. Enamel dial with subsidiary dial for the Roman hours, subsidiary dial for the 30 min. counter, spade hands and split seconds chronograph hands. Bridge movement, rhodium-plated, “fausses côtes” decoration, very finely ground bevelled chronograph steel parts, ratchet wheel, ground, bevelled double hand tong with polished bevelling, separate ratchet wheel for split seconds chronograph, screw compensation balance.
