A fine and rare Swiss 14 carat gold open faced double dialled keyless 5 minute repeating lever pocket watch with calendar and moon phases, circa 1890. The watch features a nickel movement with a lever escapement and a bimetallic compensation balance.
Two dials: the front dial is white enamel with Roman numerals, an outer Arabic minute ring, a sunken subsidiary seconds dial, and blued gold spade hands. The back dial is also white enamel, featuring an outer date ring with a central indicator hand, two subsidiary dials for the day and month in English and an aperture for moon phases. Gold polished cover, band and bezel. Push the pendant to open the front cover.
