A fine Swiss hunting cased pocket watch with enamel decoration, circa 1890.
18 carat gold, tiered, polished “à goutte” case; on the front lid a polychrome enamelled noble family crest, and a polychrome enamelled monogram on reverse side, numbered and signed gold dome with case maker’s punch mark “BHV”. Enamel dial with radial Roman hours, auxiliary seconds and blued “Fleur de Lys” hands. Nickel-plated, stripe-decorated bridge movement with wolfteeth winding wheels, screw compensation balance and counterpoised lever.
