Flower girl & minstrel minute repeating pocket watch

A fine and rare large minute repeating 18 Carat yellow gold hunting cased keyless pocket watch with painted on enamel automaton jacks. Made by C. Barbezat-Baillot, Le Locle Switzerland Circa 1890. Four-body and bassine case, etched and engraved with scenes of courting couples in landscapes, engraved band and a hinged gold cuvette engraved with the technical details and an engine-turned border.
Small opalescent enamel dial with radial gold paillon Roman numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds, flanked by polychrome painted on enamel figures of a flower girl and minstrel below cherubs holding bells, repeating hours, quarters and minutes on bells, sheet music and birds below, the whole on a polished gilt plate and gilt spade hands. Rhodium-plated movement with 19 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut-bimetallic compensation balance with blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator and repeating on gongs activated by a slide on the band.
