Silver lever watch with centre seconds

A lovely Swiss silver, painted on enamel and pearl set pocket watch with centre seconds, circa 1880. Made for the Chinese market. An empire case, pearl set bezel, the back cover decorated with a painted on enamel portrait of a young lady with gold paillon highlights to her jewellery. Translucent royal blue enamel background over radial engine turning, pearl set border and a spring loaded glazed cuvette. White enamel dial with gold paillon decoration, narrow radial Roman numerals, outer minute divisions, Arabic fifteen second numerals and blued steel ovoid hands. Gilded and entirely foliate engraved movement, Chinese calibre, ten jewels, standing barrel, counterpoised lateral lever escapement, monometallic balance, flat balance spring, index regulator. Case numbered.
