Gold open faced lever pendant watch

A fine Swiss, keyless, 18K gold, green enamel and rose-cut diamond-set lady’s pendant watch, circa 1896. Sold on September 13th, 1897. Accompanied by the Extract from the Archives. The bezel and band are heavily engraved, the back overlaid with green enamel and decorated with a rose-cut diamond set in a gold star. Hinged gold cuvette with dedication and monogram AOS.

White enamel dial with radial black Arabic numerals, outer minute track and outermost gold Arabic five-minute numerals. Gold Louis XV hands. A gilt movement, 18 jewels, wolf’s tooth winding, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator over the centre bridge. Dial, case, cuvette and movement signed.
