The contemporary watchmaker Kurt Schaffo from Le Locle worked for the well-known tourbillon maker Fritz Robert-Charrue before he set up his own company named after him, specialized in the skeletonising of movements. At Schaffo, all work processes remain within the family, his son Christian engraves his father’s works. Only about 20-30 mechanical wristwatches, all unique pieces, leave his workshops under his name every year. He produces about the same number of watches for well-known watch brands such as Zenith!
