Watchmaker Léon L. Gallet (31.12.1832-09.05.1899), son of Julien, was one of the earliest introducing the industrialization of watchmaking in Switzerland. In 1855, he purchased the “Grumbach & Cie” completely with building, equipment, and staff to expand his production capacity. He also promoted the innovative power in his company by allowing his watchmakers to register patents in their own name. The success was coming very soon and “Gallet & Cie” became one of the largest Swiss watch manufactures.
